Havening Techniques®

The Havening Techniques® are psycho-sensory techniques that use the sensory input of touch, imagination, and attention to create lasting change and enhance neuroplasticity. Havening was developed from best available neuroscience research and assembled by its creator Dr. Ronald Ruden, PhD, MD. Havening can help with many issues negatively impacting a person’s mental state such as distressing memories, anxiety, emotional trauma, fear and pain

One of the best things about Havening is that the client is not required to explain, repeat or re-live any traumatic or very distressing memory. They simply remember what happened, and we begin the work. There’s no need to tell the practitioner details of what happened. This is why Havening is so gentle. It will keep the client in a safe space, distract from the distressing memory, and clear the negative emotions in a matter of minutes.

Building resiliency is particularly important now in these days of isolation, loneliness and fear. Another great thing about Havening is that it can be applied by a certified practitioner, or self applied. People all over the world have been learning and practicing Havening online, using what we call facilitated self Havening. This is the reason Havening translates beautifully to an on line platform. So we can still maintain a consistent appointment schedule, and meet up online.
